Supporting partner

"Media Wales is delighted to be partnering the Institute of Welsh Affairs for the 2012 Business Awards.

"While  the economy across Britain and in particular Wales continues to nervously seek fresh impetus following public sector cutbacks, there has never been a more important time than now to heap praise on businesses that are out-performing the market.

'It is crucial that we recognise successful companies - large or small - that are flying the flag for Wales and Welsh business."

Awarding achievement

Geraint Talfan Davies

Despite the current difficult economic climate, Wales remains an integral part of the seventh largest economy in the world, with all the achievement and opportunity that implies.

We must celebrate those Welsh achievements in order to highlight further opportunity and point the way to a brighter future.

With this in mind the Institute of Welsh Affairs and Western Mail have joined forces again this year to promote the primary national business awards scheme for Wales - the Welsh National Business Awards.

These awards will recognise and honour the breadth of business achievement in Wales, in all its variety, with 9 special categories.

The awards ceremony will take place in Cardiff’s City Hall on Friday 9th November 2012.

The competition will be judged by a panel drawn from sponsors and business leaders from across Wales, and will receive extensive coverage in the Western Mail and WalesOnline.co.uk.

Many Welsh businesses have a great story to tell. We look forward to highlighting those of successful businesses and individuals - winners and finalists - that are leading the way.
