Supporting partner

"Media Wales is delighted to be partnering the Institute of Welsh Affairs for the 2011 Business Awards.

"While  the economy across Britain and in particular Wales continues to nervously seek fresh impetus following public sector cutbacks, there has never been a more important time than now to heap praise on businesses that are out-performing the market.

'It is crucial that we recognise successful companies - large or small - that are flying the flag for Wales and Welsh business."

Awarding achievement

Geraint Talfan Davies

The Institute of Welsh Affairs and Western Mail have joined forces to launch a new national awards scheme - Business Awards for Wales.

The awards scheme is designed to recognize and honour the achievements of Welsh businesses in all their variety. Categories cover all aspects of business activity and entries are sought from all business sectors right across Wales.

If Wales is to improve its economic performance, especially in the current difficult climate, it is essential that we highlight those businesses and individuals who are leading the way.

The awards ceremony will take place in Cardiff's Coal Exchange on Friday 25th November 2011.

The competition will be judged by a panel drawn from sponsors and business leaders from across Wales, and will receive extensive coverage in the Western Mail and WalesOnline.co.uk

We look forward to hearing and promoting the success stories of all our finalists and winners and watching these awards develop year on year.
