To recognise the outstanding achievement of an individual at the forefront of business activity in Wales, who has demonstrated conspicuous entrepreneurship within their business and/or in the wider business community. This award is made at the discretion of the judging panel.
Company of the Year > £10m - key category

This award recognises the outstanding performance made by a company with its HQ in Wales whose turnover exceeds £10 million per annum. The judges are looking for evidence of a strong knowledge base of past, present and future job creation, the company’s endorsement of high technology and future growth prospects. The market performance as well as the company’s overall commitment to being based in Wales are also taken into consideration by the judges of this highly acclaimed award. This award is made at the discretion of the judging panel.

This award is to recognise the achievement of outstanding business performance in recent years. Entry into this category is sought from organisations turning over less than £10million per annum. The company’s potential for growth, innovation and commitment to Wales is key to winning this much sought-after award.

This category is for businesses that have been trading for three years or less. The judges are looking for evidence of an understanding of its market, its aims and objectives, how the company has performed and what its plans are for future growth.
Go Green Environmental Award

This award seeks to recognise environmentally friendly British businesses. The Go Green Award is designed for the company that demonstrates environmental best practice, ethical best practice or sustainable development. Judges are particularly interested in the application of these practices and the impact they have had on the company.
Creative Marketing Award

This category has been created to highlight the importance of successful marketing campaigns to an organisation. The judges will consider the goal and achievements of the campaign, the process of research, planning, implementation and measurement of the campaign. The finalists will need to demonstrate concrete and specific examples of success.
Excellence in eCommerce Award

The judges will assess each entry to this category in the context of how the eCommerce solution met the purpose of the business. Entries will be sought from the private, public and voluntary sectors. The planned impact on business, the actual commercial benefits, the application of technology and the standard of innovation are important factors for the judging of this category, as is the ability to show a step change on the eCommerce ladder. This category is open to small and medium sized organisations only.
Training & Developing staff award

Awarded to a company totally committed to developing company talent through career progression. The judges will consider whether the persistent promotion of training and development of staff has resulted in a positive change to individual and business performance. Training may have taken place through a series of innovative and interactive approaches and with effective use of IT. The winning company will also show their commitment to creating a greater understanding of business and performance.
Young Achiever

This award is aimed at people between the ages of 18 and 30,and aims to encourage young people to show that they too, have succeeded in the business community. Although they may not have a multi-million pound budget or years of experience, their contribution to the economy and Welsh business is extremely vital. The aim of the category is to identify inspirational role models within youth culture in Wales.
