This category is for businesses that have been trading for three years or less. The judges are looking for evidence of an understanding of its market, its aims and objectives, how the company has performed and what its plan are for future growth.
Creative Marketing Award

This category has been created to highlight the importance of successful marketing campaigns to an organisation. Judges will consider the goals and achievements of the campaign, the process of research, planning, implementation and measurement. The finalists will need to demonstrate tangible and specific examples of success.
Young Achiever

This award is aimed at people between the ages of 18 and 30,and aims to encourage young people to show that they too, have succeeded in the business community. Although they may not have a multi-million pound budget or years of experience, their contribution to the economy and Welsh business is extremely vital. The aim of the category is to identify inspirational role models within youth culture in Wales.
Best Use of Foreign Languages in Business

This new category has been created to highlight the importance of foreign language skills in business. The winning company will demonstrate the wide-ranging opportunities that can be accessed with both cultural knowledge and foreign language skills in the workforce and the positive effect these skills have on trade, export and customer service.
Training & Developing staff award

Awarded to a company totally committed to developing company talent through career progression. The judges will consider whether the persistent promotion of training and development of staff has resulted in a positive change to individual and business performance. Training may have taken place through a series of innovative and interactive approaches and with effective use of IT. The winning company will also show their commitment to creating a greater understanding of business and performance.
