Message from the title sponsor
PwC is delighted to be the headline supporter of The Western Mail and Institute of Welsh Affairs 2012 Business Awards.
PwC enjoys a long history of working across the private and public sectors in Wales and helping our clients manage the challenges that they face in running their organisations. Since 2008, Wales has faced some tough economic challenges in common with other parts of the UK, but it is important that as well as recognising the challenges, we also celebrate the many success stories.
Last year's awards highlighted some great stories, and I am hoping that we see a similar level of competition this year. In Wales we are sometimes reluctant to profile our successes and so taking time out to recognise some fantastic achievements from some of our smallest businesses through to large multi-national organisations is, in my view, an important part of taking a balanced view of where we have come from and where we might head in the future.
PwC in Wales continues to be an important part of our firm across the UK - with offices in Cardiff and Swansea and over 300 partners and staff, we are proud of our links with the Welsh economy and our contribution to helping to drive it forward.
We look forward to continuing to do this by supporting businesses in Wales and by helping them to celebrate some of the outstanding business achievements being recognised in these prestigious awards.
