Inspire Wales Awards 2013

Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do.
Nelson Mandela, 17 December 2009

If Nelson Mandela taught us just one thing it was that people can make a difference. Every day across Wales, in more modest ways, people are showing what is meant by the term 'active citizenship'. To inspire more of us to follow their example we must take the time to recognise those who innovate and inspire - people who do not stand back or leave it to others, people who take the initiative, make a difference and inspire others.

The IWA is once again joining with the Western Mail to search for examples to highlight and honour in this year's Inspire Wales Awards. The annual awards recognise excellence, leadership and innovation in all sectors. With the generous support of all our sponsors we hope to shine a light on the extraordinary examples of people making a difference their communities and our country.

I hope you will help us to find deserving nominees for the 2014 Inspire Wales Awards.
